Job Description
Ketti Paradise Hotel & Gardens is seeking a diligent and meticulous Laundry Staff member to join our vibrant team. This critical role ensures that all our linens, towels, uniforms, and other fabric items are immaculately clean, fresh, and readily available, directly contributing to our guests’ comfort and satisfaction. As a Laundry Staff member, you will be an integral part of our housekeeping department, responsible for the efficient operation of our on-site laundry facility. Your day-to-day tasks will involve the careful sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding of a high volume of various textiles, adhering strictly to hygiene standards and best practices in fabric care.

Key Responsibilities
- Sort and categorize laundry items (linens, towels, uniforms) according to fabric type, color, and degree of soiling.
- Operate commercial washing, drying, and ironing machines safely and efficiently, following manufacturer guidelines and hotel procedures.
- Monitor laundry cycles, adjusting settings as necessary to ensure thorough cleaning and proper care of different materials.
- Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, stains, and damage; re-wash or apply appropriate stain removal techniques as needed.
- Fold, press, and neatly organize clean laundry for storage and distribution to various hotel departments.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry processed and inventory of supplies, reporting stock levels and needs to management.
- Ensure the laundry area is kept clean, tidy, and organized at all times, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on laundry equipment, reporting any malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
- Assist with other housekeeping duties or special projects as assigned by the supervisor, promoting a collaborative work environment.
Required Skills
- Previous experience (1+ year) in a laundry or cleaning role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Familiarity with the operation of commercial laundry equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently and consistently in a physically demanding role.
- Good understanding of fabric care and basic stain removal techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
