Key Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of merchandise at the RONA store, customer sites, and distribution centers.
- Verify product counts and condition against delivery manifests to ensure accuracy and report any discrepancies.
- Maneuver and organize products in the warehouse and on delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries, assisting customers with inquiries as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and transportation regulations.
- Help maintain a clean and organized work environment, both in the delivery vehicle and the loading dock area.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatch, and customers to ensure smooth delivery operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support logistics and store operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 70 lbs regularly) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- A strong commitment to safety procedures.
- Basic understanding of inventory and delivery processes.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada (or eligibility for work visa sponsorship).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or delivery helper role.
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license in Quebec.
- Proficiency in French and English (bilingualism is a significant asset in Quebec).
- Experience operating a forklift or pallet jack (certification is a plus).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
