Job Description

Mwangaza Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Painter to join our dynamic team in Lubao, Kasai Province. This vital role involves executing high-quality painting work for both new construction projects and interior design renovations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying various types of paint, varnishes, and other finishes, and ensuring an impeccable aesthetic outcome that meets our stringent quality standards and client specifications. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, and applying primer.
  • Mix and match paint colors according to specifications or client requests.
  • Apply paint, varnish, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials needed.
  • Ensure proper ventilation and safety measures are observed at all times.
  • Protect surrounding areas and surfaces from paint splatters and damage.
  • Inspect finished surfaces for quality and ensure adherence to design and client expectations.
  • Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed to achieve a flawless finish.
  • Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with project managers, interior designers, and other tradespeople.
  • Manage paint and material inventory, reporting needs to supervisors.
  • Adhere to project timelines and budget constraints.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in various painting techniques (brush, roller, spray gun)
  • Strong knowledge of paint types, primers, and finishes
  • Excellent color matching and mixing abilities
  • Surface preparation expertise (sanding, patching, cleaning)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
