Job Description

Are you a naturally warm, highly detail-oriented, and proactively customer-focused individual with an unyielding passion for delivering outstanding guest service? De-Ville Park Hotel & Suites is actively seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hotel Attendant to join our dynamic and expanding team in Dutse Alhaji, Abuja. In this pivotal and highly visible role, you will often be the first and last impression our guests have, effectively serving as the welcoming face of our hotel. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that every guest interaction is positive, efficient, seamless, and ultimately memorable. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and assist guests upon arrival and throughout their stay, providing information, guidance, and personalized recommendations.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and hygiene in all public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas, adhering strictly to hotel protocols.
  • Efficiently and professionally handle guest inquiries, requests, and minor complaints, escalating more complex issues to appropriate management personnel for resolution.
  • Provide assistance with luggage handling, room service delivery, and other guest support tasks as required, always with a helpful and friendly demeanor.
  • Monitor and proactively replenish hotel supplies in common areas, restrooms, and designated guest service points.
  • Promptly report any maintenance issues, potential safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to ensure guest and staff safety.
  • Collaborate effectively and harmoniously with other hotel departments, including Housekeeping, Front Desk, and Food & Beverage, to ensure a cohesive and exceptional guest experience.
  • Adhere to all established hotel policies, operational procedures, and safety regulations at all times.
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive information regarding hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and transportation options.
  • Assist in the meticulous setup and efficient clearing of meeting rooms or event spaces as needed, ensuring readiness for functions.

Required Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with a clear and friendly tone.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a genuine desire to assist guests and anticipate their needs.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a hotel, hospitality, or customer service-intensive role.
  • Basic knowledge of hotel operations and standard guest service protocols.
  • Fluency in an additional major Nigerian language (e.g., Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba) is considered a valuable asset.
  • A relevant certificate or diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.
