Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness, including washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and cleaning kitchen equipment.
- Support the culinary team during service, ensuring smooth workflow and timely delivery of dishes.
- Receive and store deliveries, checking for quality and quantity, and ensuring proper rotation of stock.
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
