Job Description
We are urgently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Auto Repair Mechanic to join our dynamic team at Automoto Services in Lekki. This is a critical role for an individual who is passionate about automotive technology, possesses a keen eye for detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As an Auto Repair Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and performance. You will work on everything from routine oil changes and brake replacements to complex engine overhauls and advanced electrical system diagnostics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both domestic and imported vehicle systems, including gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering and suspension, air conditioning, and electrical components. You must be proficient in using modern diagnostic equipment and repair tools, capable of interpreting technical data, and committed to continuous learning to keep pace with evolving automotive technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services on various makes and models of vehicles.
- Inspect vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs or preventive maintenance.
- Conduct thorough testing of vehicle systems and components to ensure proper functionality post-repair.
- Utilize specialized diagnostic tools and equipment to identify electrical, mechanical, and software-related problems.
- Execute repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, air conditioning, and electrical systems.
- Maintain detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and services performed.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status, repair recommendations, and estimated timelines.
- Adhere strictly to safety standards and workshop procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with automotive technology advancements.
- Assist with inventory management and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
Required Skills
