Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of journal entries, invoices, and expense reports.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as required by management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Learn and apply relevant accounting software and tools to enhance efficiency and data management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship experience in an accounting or finance department.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or local accounting software).
  • Certification or courses in IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
