Are you a skilled and dedicated Electrician passionate about ensuring reliable and safe electrical systems? Flow (Cable & Wireless Jamaica) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrician to join our robust operations team in Portmore, Saint Catherine. In this critical role, you will be primarily responsible for the precise installation, diligent maintenance, and expert repair of electrical wiring, intricate systems, and essential fixtures across our diverse facilities and expansive infrastructure. Your daily tasks will include meticulously reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams, installing new electrical components with precision, expertly troubleshooting complex electrical issues, and performing routine preventative maintenance to uphold the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and local electrical codes.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, failures, and hazards using appropriate testing devices.
- Ensure all work adheres strictly to safety protocols, national and local electrical codes, and company standards.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, outlets, or other components.
- Install and maintain control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
- Utilize various hand and power tools, including conduit benders, multimeters, and thermal imagers.
- Collaborate effectively with other technical teams and departments to resolve complex issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
Required Skills
- Expertise in electrical wiring and installation techniques.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities for electrical systems.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations (NEC, local Jamaican codes).
- Proficiency in blueprint and schematic reading.
- Competence in using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, ohmmeters, circuit testers).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or certification in Electrical Installation or equivalent field.
- Previous experience (3+ years) in a telecommunications, industrial, or commercial electrical setting.
- Valid Jamaican driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and communication.
