Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, cheque cashing, and transfers.
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer, ensuring it balances at the end of each shift and adhere to strict cash handling procedures.
  • Verify customer identities and transaction details to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with 'Know Your Customer' (KYC) regulations.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide information on bank products and services, and resolve basic customer issues.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services, referring customers to appropriate bank personnel when necessary.
  • Educate customers on alternative banking channels such as online banking, mobile banking, and ATMs.
  • Adhere strictly to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering (AML) guidelines.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding customer accounts and transactions.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures for the branch, including vault operations as required.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring a superior banking experience.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in cash handling and transaction processing.

  • Knowledge of banking software and financial regulations in Nigeria.
  • Experience with sales or cross-selling financial products.
