As a Sound Designer at Dock10, you will be instrumental in crafting compelling audio experiences from conception to final mix. Key Responsibilities

  • Create original sound effects, ambiences, and sonic textures to enhance visual narratives across various media.
  • Perform meticulous dialogue editing, noise reduction, and audio restoration to ensure crystal-clear vocal tracks.
  • Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and editors to understand creative vision and translate it into compelling audio.
  • Select, edit, and integrate music cues, ensuring seamless integration with sound design and overall production.
  • Conduct foley recording and editing as required, adding realistic and impactful sound elements.
  • Mix and master audio for diverse platforms (broadcast, digital, theatrical, immersive), ensuring technical compliance and creative integrity.
  • Manage audio assets, maintain organized project files, and adhere strictly to studio workflows and deadlines.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in sound design and audio production.
  • Provide creative input and proactively problem-solve audio challenges throughout the entire production process.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 4 years) as a Sound Designer in a professional post-production or creative media environment.
  • Expert proficiency with industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and/or Ableton Live.
  • Strong understanding of audio principles, acoustics, psychoacoustics, and advanced mixing techniques.
  • Demonstrable portfolio showcasing a range of sound design, audio post-production, and creative music production work.
  • Excellent creative ear, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong sense of rhythm and timing.
  • Proficiency in dialogue editing, sound effects creation, and advanced audio restoration techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines while consistently maintaining high-quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, Sound Design, or a related creative field.

  • Familiarity with various audio codecs and delivery specifications for broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms.
  • Experience in music composition, scoring, or arrangement for media.
  • Knowledge of field recording techniques and professional equipment.
