Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all daily hotel operations, ensuring efficiency, exceptional quality, and strict adherence to company standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team across all departments including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to continuously enhance guest satisfaction and build lasting guest loyalty.
  • Manage comprehensive budgets, meticulously control costs, and drive revenue growth to consistently achieve and exceed financial targets.
  • Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Cultivate strong, positive relationships with guests, community stakeholders, local businesses, and vendors.
  • Promptly and professionally address all guest feedback, concerns, and resolve issues to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Implement effective sales and marketing strategies to promote the hotel and maximize occupancy.
  • Oversee the meticulous maintenance and upkeep of the entire property to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment, comprehensive training, and performance management of all hotel staff.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven, progressive experience in hotel management.
  • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and motivational abilities.
  • Strong financial acumen, including extensive experience in budget management and P&L oversight.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and superior interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver outstanding customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Superior problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, especially under pressure.
  • In-depth knowledge of hospitality industry best practices, trends, and operational standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Previous experience working with international teams and diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Prior experience with Rodd Hotels & Resorts or a similar reputable hotel chain.
  • Extensive knowledge of the local Prince Edward Island tourism market and attractions.
  • Fluency in French or other additional languages is considered an asset.
