Key Responsibilities
- Perform general manual labor tasks, including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Assist skilled tradespersons and operators with various tasks on job sites, in production facilities, or within forestry operations.
- Clean and prepare work sites, ensuring adherence to safety standards and company policies.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas.
- Follow all safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.
- Support team members in completing projects and daily tasks efficiently.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including attendance and punctuality standards.
- Participate in training and development programs as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills (verbal) in English.
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and environments (indoor/outdoor).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role (e.g., construction, manufacturing, forestry, agriculture).
- Familiarity with operating basic hand tools and some power tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- First Aid and/or CPR certification.
