Job Description
Are you an experienced, results-driven logistics professional ready to take on a pivotal role in one of Ethiopia’s largest and most dynamic FMCG companies? Moha Soft Drinks Industry S.C. is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Logistics Manager to join our team for an immediate start. This critical position, based in Addis Ababa, is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring the seamless and cost-effective flow of products from our manufacturing plants to distribution centers and ultimately to our vast customer network across Ethiopia. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels across the entire supply chain.
- Oversee daily logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and distribution, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Manage and lead a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external logistics providers, suppliers, and distributors.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international logistics, transportation, and safety regulations.
- Implement and manage logistics software and technologies to enhance operational visibility and efficiency.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and procurement departments to align logistics activities with overall business objectives.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain, such as transportation delays, inventory shortages, or quality issues.
- Prepare and manage logistics budgets, forecasting expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective logistics strategies.
- Deep understanding of Ethiopian transportation networks and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or an MBA.
- Professional certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CILT).
- Experience with cold chain logistics and perishable goods management.
- Familiarity with lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies in logistics.
