Sysco Virginia is seeking a diligent and motivated Food Production Operative to join our bustling team in Virginia Beach. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor food processing and packaging machinery safely and efficiently.
- Perform quality control checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Follow strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety procedures (HACCP, GMPs) at all times.
- Sort, weigh, measure, mix, and package food products according to production specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Load and unload materials and products, assisting with inventory management as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues promptly to management.
Required Skills
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic math skills for weighing and measuring ingredients.
