Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our dynamic team at Saint Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, California. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including assisting with daily living activities (ADLs), mobility, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor vital signs, document patient observations, and accurately report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring a smooth and comfortable transition for patients.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe patient environment, adhering to all infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in specialized projects or documentation related to international healthcare standards, specifically those pertinent to the UK healthcare system or health visa requirements.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and healthcare team members, respecting cultural differences and promoting a positive care experience.
- Document care provided in the electronic health record system accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement patient care plans and achieve desired patient outcomes.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant (NA) program.
- Current California Nursing Assistant certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care or long-term care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in a related field.
- Familiarity with international healthcare documentation or patient transfer protocols.
