Job Description
TotalEnergies Marketing RDC is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Fuel Station Attendant to join our dynamic team in Matadi, Kongo-Central Province. This full-time position is crucial to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our petrol service station, delivering exceptional service to every customer. As a Fuel Station Attendant, you will be the face of TotalEnergies, responsible for greeting customers, accurately dispensing fuel, processing payments, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Your role will directly contribute to our commitment to excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include handling cash transactions, operating point-of-sale (POS) systems, reconciling daily sales, and actively promoting our loyalty programs or additional services. You will also be expected to conduct routine checks on station equipment, report any malfunctions, and adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies. This role requires individuals who are reliable, possess strong interpersonal skills, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient fuel dispensing services.
- Accurately operate fuel pumps and ensure correct fuel types and quantities are dispensed.
- Process various forms of payment, including cash, card, and mobile payments, using the POS system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, including fuel pumps, forecourt, and facilities.
- Reconcile daily cash and sales reports, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Actively promote station products, services, and loyalty programs to customers.
- Conduct routine visual inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety procedures and guidelines, including handling of hazardous materials.
- Assist customers with basic inquiries and provide directions or information as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and maintain high service standards.
Required Skills
- Proven customer service experience, preferably in a retail or service-oriented environment.
- Strong numerical aptitude and ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
- Proficiency in handling cash and operating point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in French or Lingala.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Fuel Station Attendant or similar role.
- Familiarity with fuel safety regulations and procedures.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to speak other local languages of Kongo-Central Province.
