Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive end-to-end procurement activities, including strategic sourcing, meticulous vendor selection, skillful negotiation of favorable terms, and robust contract management for all goods and services related to logistics and the broader supply chain.
- Develop and meticulously maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers, ensuring strict adherence to Bovas's stringent quality standards, punctual delivery schedules, and all contractual agreements.
- Proactively conduct extensive market research to identify new, high-potential suppliers and evaluate alternative products/services, while staying fully abreast of evolving industry trends, technological advancements, and pricing fluctuations.
- Accurately prepare and efficiently process purchase orders, requisitions, and all other essential procurement documentation in a timely manner.
- Diligently monitor inventory levels and actively collaborate with relevant internal departments to ensure timely replenishment, thereby minimizing costly stockouts or wasteful overstock situations.
- Proactively identify and strategically implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements without ever compromising the paramount importance of quality or operational effectiveness.
- Professionally manage and promptly resolve any supplier issues, discrepancies, or performance concerns effectively and with minimal disruption.
- Ensure that all procurement activities strictly comply with established company policies, standardized procedures, and all relevant local and national regulatory requirements.
- Generate insightful procurement reports and provide actionable insights on spending patterns, comprehensive supplier performance metrics, and prevailing market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, finance, and operations teams to meticulously streamline processes and continually optimize the entire supply chain for maximum efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proven experience of at least 3 years as a Procurement Officer or in a directly similar role, with a strong, demonstrated focus on logistics and supply chain management.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of influencing outcomes and building strong relationships.
- Proficiency in utilizing procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage) for managing procurement processes.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
