Key Responsibilities
- Safely and punctually transport the employer and family members to various destinations.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle(s) in immaculate condition, ensuring cleanliness, regular servicing, and timely repairs.
- Plan efficient routes, considering traffic conditions and making necessary adjustments to ensure timely arrivals.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage, groceries, or other items as required.
- Manage vehicle documentation, including insurance, registration, and licensing, ensuring all are current.
- Handle occasional household errands or deliveries as instructed by the employer.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion regarding the household's affairs and movements.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.
- Be flexible with working hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on the family's schedule.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience as a private, executive, or household driver.
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks and traffic patterns, particularly within Lagos Island and its environs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow instructions clearly.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and trustworthiness.
- Proven ability to maintain punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle checks and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Impeccable personal hygiene and presentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving luxury vehicles.
- Completion of a defensive driving course or advanced driving certification.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics for minor repairs and maintenance.
