Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records, identifying and investigating discrepancies.
  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments of goods, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed.
  • Prepare and process outgoing orders, ensuring correct items and quantities are picked, packed, and dispatched in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate inventory databases, updating records for all stock movements, transfers, and adjustments using relevant inventory management software.
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure optimal inventory replenishment, highlighting potential shortages or overstocks to management.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse and storage areas for maximum efficiency, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with purchasing, warehouse, and delivery teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Generate regular inventory reports for management, providing insights into stock performance and trends.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, if certified and required (training may be provided).

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk, Stock Keeper, or similar role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or certification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) specific to inventory modules.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical or medical supplies distribution processes.
  • Forklift operator certification.
  • A proactive attitude towards identifying and resolving inventory challenges.
