Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily lessons and educational activities.
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students, reinforcing learning concepts.
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, safe, and organized learning environment.
- Prepare instructional materials, resources, and classroom displays.
- Supervise students during non-instructional times, including lunch, recess, and field trips.
- Support students with diverse learning needs, collaborating with special education staff as required.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians under the guidance of the lead teacher.
- Participate in professional development workshops, staff meetings, and school events.
- Assist with student assessments, record-keeping, and tracking student progress.
- Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive school culture.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated passion for working with children and supporting their academic and social development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to a fast-paced educational setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Eligibility to work in the United States, with the ability to obtain a work visa (sponsorship provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education or a related discipline.
- Prior experience as a Teacher Assistant, Substitute Teacher, or similar role in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum framework.
- Experience working in a diverse or international school environment.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
