Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications, focusing on functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with product management and development teams to understand product requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to team success and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on software quality and readiness.
- Proactively identify potential risks and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, Selenium, Playwright).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
