Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of international dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets high standards of taste, temperature, and presentation.
  • Manage a specific station (e.g., sauté, grill, pantry) during service, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients to minimize waste.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Contribute to menu development and innovation, suggesting new dishes or techniques based on international culinary trends.
  • Perform prep work, including chopping vegetables, butchering meats, and preparing sauces and marinades.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cook in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing a wide range of international cuisines (e.g., Asian, Mediterranean, Latin American, European).
  • Proficiency in various cooking techniques, including sautéing, grilling, roasting, braising, and knife skills.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification preferred).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A passion for food and a commitment to culinary excellence.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
