Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records for international sponsorships, grants, and cross-border transactions, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and international financial standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, statements, and analyses specifically tailored for international activities, providing clear insights into performance and compliance.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data related to international engagements.
  • Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and legal teams to ensure adherence to international financial regulations, including AML, FATCA, and OFAC, as applicable to banking operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for international initiatives, monitoring expenditures and revenue against projections.
  • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to international financial activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in international financial reporting and operations.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to internal stakeholders regarding the implications of international transactions and sponsorships.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables)
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of international financial regulations and reporting requirements
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification or actively pursuing
  • Experience with major accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday Financials)
  • Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry
  • Multilingual capabilities, particularly in languages relevant to international financial markets
