Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of high-quality dishes in various kitchen sections (e.g., larder, hot section, pastry), adhering to established recipes and culinary standards.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on menu planning, development of new dishes, and special events.
- Ensure all food preparation and storage areas comply with the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety regulations (HACCP).
- Manage inventory, minimize waste, and contribute to efficient kitchen operations and cost control.
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adapt to changing guest preferences and dietary requirements, providing excellent culinary solutions and a flexible approach.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, culinary innovation, and excellence within the kitchen team.
Required Skills
- Proven culinary expertise with a strong portfolio of diverse cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Demonstrable experience working in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen environment.
