Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Help patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Support patients with feeding and provide medication reminders as directed by supervising nurses.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition, behavior, and vital signs to the nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and observations made.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, promoting a positive and healing environment.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to patient care areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in Florida
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., home health, hospital, long-term care)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to empathize with patients and provide compassionate care
- Strong observational and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience in home health care settings
