Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS/German GAAP.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls and financial policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial information and tax filings.
  • Lead and optimize administrative processes, including office management, procurement, contract administration, and facility management.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms for supplies and services.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a small team of finance and administrative professionals.
  • Support business development initiatives through financial modeling and analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to all local and national legal and regulatory requirements and internal company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within finance and administration.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Finance Manager, Administration Manager, or similar senior role, preferably within professional services.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS, German GAAP) and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, DATEV) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in both German and English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, Steuerberater).
