As a Staff Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for translating high-level architectural specifications into detailed hardware designs, ensuring performance, power, and area targets are met. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architectural definition, design, and implementation of complex digital hardware blocks and subsystems using industry-standard design methodologies.
  • Perform extensive verification and validation activities, including simulation, formal verification, and hardware-software co-verification.
  • Collaborate with system architects, software teams, and other hardware design teams to define specifications, interfaces, and resolve integration challenges.
  • Conduct detailed timing analysis, power analysis, and functional verification to ensure design correctness and meet performance targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design flows, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the overall growth and expertise of the team.
  • Participate in silicon debug, characterization, and bring-up activities post-fabrication.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital ASIC/FPGA design and verification.
  • Proficiency in Hardware Description Languages (HDLs) such as Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
  • Strong understanding of digital design principles, computer architecture, and synchronous/asynchronous design.
  • Experience with industry-standard EDA tools for simulation, synthesis, place & route, and timing analysis.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Tcl) for automation and data analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with advanced verification methodologies (e.g., UVM, formal verification).
  • Knowledge of processor architectures (e.g., x86, ARM) and memory interfaces.
  • Experience with low-power design techniques and power management.
  • Familiarity with signal integrity, power integrity, and physical design concepts.
  • Prior experience in leading technical projects or mentoring junior engineers.
