Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive remote technical support to Tesla employees worldwide, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve IT support requests submitted through various channels (ticketing system, chat, phone) in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage user accounts and access permissions across various systems and applications (e.g., Active Directory, Azure AD, Okta, G Suite).
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and proprietary Tesla software.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to escalate and resolve complex technical problems.
- Create and update technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and procedural guides to improve support efficiency.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment setup and user account provisioning/deprovisioning.
- Monitor IT systems and infrastructure for potential issues, performing preventative maintenance as needed.
- Educate users on best practices for software usage, security, and hardware maintenance.
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support as required.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in an IT Support or Help Desk role.
- Strong proficiency in troubleshooting Windows, macOS, and common enterprise applications (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, G Suite).
- Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, or similar identity management systems.
- Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi).
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and technical support in a remote environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a flexible schedule setting.
- Experience with ITSM ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL Foundation.
- Experience supporting Linux environments.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company.
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
