Key Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of services, diagnostics, and repairs on Tesla electric vehicles, including drivetrains, battery systems, and other high-voltage components, in accordance with Tesla service procedures and quality standards.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on vehicles, identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to accurately identify and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and software-related problems.
- Maintain meticulous records of all services performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings in Tesla's digital service system.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, particularly when working with high-voltage systems and specialized equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with service advisors and parts specialists to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service, explaining vehicle issues and repairs clearly and professionally, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with Tesla's evolving technology and service requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Assist with vehicle preparation and delivery as needed.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably with electric vehicles or complex electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, hybrid powertrains, and mechanical components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., scan tools, multimeters).
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with computer-based service and repair documentation systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or certificate from an automotive technology program.
- ASE certifications (e.g., A6, A7, A8, L1).
- Experience with high-voltage battery systems and electric vehicle technology.
- Familiarity with Tesla-specific diagnostic tools and service procedures.
- Prior experience in a premium automotive brand service center.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and processes.
