Key Responsibilities
- Unload trucks and move merchandise to the sales floor or storage areas efficiently and safely.
- Stock shelves, racks, and displays with merchandise, ensuring proper product placement and rotation.
- Organize and maintain backroom and sales floor areas, including removing empty cardboard and plastic.
- Operate pallet jacks, dollies, and other equipment to move merchandise safely (training provided).
- Ensure aisles are clear and safe for associates and customers by following store safety procedures.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including counting products and preparing for cycle counts.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory levels and stocking progress.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment throughout the shift.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, especially for overnight shifts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills to interact with colleagues.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate stocking and organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, stocking, or warehouse environment.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift – certification not required, but a plus).
