Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies, as appropriate.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
  • Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Ensure projects adhere to quality standards and organizational procedures.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
  • Utilize Microsoft project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Project for the web, Planner) to manage tasks and workflows.
  • Champion best practices in project management and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, specifically managing technical or software development projects.
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365, and other relevant Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience working in a large, global technology company.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with change management processes.
