Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload inbound packages and materials, verifying counts against manifests.
- Efficiently sort packages by destination, size, and type using scanning equipment.
- Place sorted packages onto conveyor belts or into designated staging areas.
- Identify and report any damaged packages or discrepancies to team leads.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, after proper training.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and quality targets.
- Lift and move packages weighing up to 49 pounds, and occasionally team lift heavier items.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for scanning and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar fast-paced environment.
- Experience using an RF scanner or similar inventory management tools.
