Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations and maintenance schedules for a diverse fleet of vehicles to ensure maximum availability and operational efficiency.
- Supervise vehicle inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to minimize downtime.
- Monitor fleet performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven strategies to optimize vehicle utilization and reduce operational costs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of vehicle parts, supplies, and accessories, ensuring proper stock levels and cost-effective procurement.
- Ensure strict adherence to all company policies, safety standards, and local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Provide hands-on support and expert guidance to driver-partners regarding vehicle-related issues, troubleshooting, and best practices for vehicle care.
- Train and mentor junior fleet personnel or support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Generate regular, comprehensive reports on fleet status, maintenance costs, and key operational performance indicators for management review.
- Assist in the onboarding and offboarding process for vehicles, including registration, titling, insurance, and decommissioning, adhering to strict timelines.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or operations in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven ability to manage vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and inventory control systems.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and guiding a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and specialized fleet management software.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive, analytical approach to operational challenges.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
