Key Responsibilities
- Engage proactively with customers on the sales floor, identifying their needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate and explain product features and benefits, ensuring customers make informed decisions.
- Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, promotions, and industry trends.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Handle customer enquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional post-sales support.
- Ensure merchandising standards are met, and the sales floor is clean, organised, and inviting.
- Participate in store meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, assisting colleagues when needed.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service or sales-oriented role (minimum 1 year).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- A genuine passion for technology and consumer electronics.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven retail environment.
- Availability to work across a flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with point-of-sale systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience selling electronics, appliances, or similar big-ticket items.
- A tertiary qualification in retail, business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Noel Leeming's product range and services.
- Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software.
