Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Flight Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team in Iowa City, Iowa. This pivotal role provides essential administrative and operational support to our Flight Operations department, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day activities. As a Flight Operations Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting flight crew, assisting with flight planning logistics, managing vital documentation, and contributing to the overall safety and punctuality of our operations. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Flight Operations team, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of flight-related documentation, such as flight plans, NOTAMs, weather reports, and crew manifests.
- Coordinate with flight crews, dispatchers, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
- Maintain and update operational databases and logs, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Monitor flight schedules and assist in managing changes or disruptions, communicating updates as required.
- Support the onboarding and training process for new flight crew members by preparing materials and assisting with logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Handle general inquiries related to flight operations from internal and external stakeholders.
- Organize and manage departmental meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
- Assist with inventory management of operational supplies and equipment.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
