Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and scan items for online customer orders from store shelves and designated storage areas.
- Ensure the freshest and highest quality products are selected, paying particular attention to perishable goods, expiry dates, and product condition.
- Efficiently pack groceries into designated bags or crates, adhering to company standards for presentation, order accuracy, and product integrity.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized work area, including tidying shelves, managing spills, and ensuring product availability.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines, particularly concerning manual handling techniques, food safety protocols, and general workplace safety.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and supervisors regarding stock levels, potential order discrepancies, or customer requests.
- Support the overall store operations, including assisting with stock replenishment, merchandising, and maintaining store standards as needed.
- Operate essential equipment safely and responsibly, such as hand-held scanners, order picking trolleys, and potentially pallet jacks.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring orders are correct, complete, and ready for efficient collection or seamless delivery.
- Contribute to a positive team environment through collaboration, respect, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Required Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment and consistently meet picking targets.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Good physical stamina, capable of lifting and carrying items up to 25-50 lbs, and standing/walking for extended periods.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading order lists, counting items, and understanding product codes.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to attendance.
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
- Commitment to adhering to all health and safety procedures and food hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required by business needs.

- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, grocery, or customer service environment.
