Your day-to-day will involve a variety of tasks crucial to our success. From accurately picking and packing customer orders, preparing goods for dispatch, to loading and unloading delivery vehicles, you’ll be instrumental in keeping our shelves stocked and our customers happy. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick and pack customer orders and store replenishment according to company standards and targets.
  • Efficiently load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring safe handling of products.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet trucks, stackers) safely and effectively after training.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet Tesco's standards.
  • Support inventory management through accurate counting and stock rotation.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for understanding instructions and counting stock.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or retail environment.
  • Experience operating MHE (Material Handling Equipment) such as forklift trucks or powered pallet trucks (PPT) – training will be provided if necessary.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
