Key Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments, ensuring correct change and transaction completion.
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide assistance with product location or store services.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area, including shelves and displays near the registers.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues professionally and escalate complex matters to management when necessary.
- Promote store loyalty programs, special offers, and new products to customers.
- Assist with bagging groceries and ensuring delicate items are handled with care.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including those related to age-restricted sales and security.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and customer flow.
- Participate in periodic training sessions to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
