Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for new business acquisition.
- Identify, qualify, and cultivate new business opportunities through various channels, including networking, referrals, and targeted outreach.
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments with prospective clients to understand their unique insurance requirements.
- Present customized insurance solutions, clearly articulating the benefits and value proposition of Intact's products.
- Negotiate terms and close sales agreements, ensuring a seamless and positive client experience.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, providing exceptional ongoing service and support.
- Collaborate with underwriting and other internal teams to ensure timely and accurate policy issuance and client satisfaction.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Participate in relevant industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote Intact's brand and generate leads.
Required Skills
- Proven track record of success in B2B or B2C sales, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of property and casualty insurance products and principles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and establish trust with diverse client segments.
- Demonstrated negotiation and closing skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Valid state-specific P&C insurance license or ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of direct sales experience in the commercial or personal lines insurance sector.
- Established network within the Indianapolis business community.
- Experience with complex sales cycles and solution-based selling.
- Professional designations such as CISR, AINS, or CIC.
