Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our dynamic Human Resources team in Downtown Indianapolis. This integral role supports the full employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations for our growing workforce. The HR Coordinator will be the first point of contact for many employee inquiries, providing crucial support in areas ranging from onboarding and benefits administration to HR reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters, conducting background checks, and facilitating new hire orientations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system (e.g., Workday), ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and responding to employee inquiries regarding health, dental, and retirement plans.
- Support HR Business Partners with various HR initiatives, projects, and program implementations.
- Generate HR reports and analytics as required, assisting with data compilation for compliance, audits, and strategic planning.
- Act as a primary point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and general inquiries, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Coordinate HR-related meetings, training sessions, and employee engagement events.
- Assist with offboarding processes, including exit interviews and necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Assist in the development and update of HR documentation, policies, and procedures.
Required Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in a Human Resources Coordinator or administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
- SHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR certification or willingness to obtain.
- Experience with full-cycle recruitment support.
