Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and organize large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various internal and external sources.
- Perform in-depth data analysis using statistical methods, data mining techniques, and advanced analytical tools to identify significant trends, patterns, anomalies, and underlying insights.
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive reports, interactive dashboards, and analytical models using business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and visualize data.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders across different departments to thoroughly understand their data requirements, business challenges, and translate these into precise technical specifications and analytical solutions.
- Present complex findings, insights, and actionable recommendations to non-technical audiences in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
- Champion data integrity and quality initiatives, ensuring the highest level of accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all data used for analysis and reporting.
- Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of data models, predictive analytics solutions, and machine learning applications.
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in data analysis, data science, and business intelligence.
- Document processes, methodologies, data definitions, and technical specifications for robust internal knowledge sharing and maintainability.
- Provide ad-hoc data analysis and support to various teams as needed to address urgent business questions.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Proven proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction, manipulation, and database querying.
- Hands-on experience with at least one leading data visualization and business intelligence tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Business Analytics).
- Experience with statistical programming languages such as Python or R.
- Familiarity with insurance industry data, business processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS S3/Redshift, Azure Data Lake/Synapse, Google BigQuery).
- Relevant certifications in data analysis, business intelligence, or database technologies.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
