In this pivotal role, you will be the frontline representative for our clients, providing expert guidance on a comprehensive suite of insurance products, including auto, home, and commercial insurance. Your primary objective will be to understand clients’ unique needs, assess their risks, and recommend tailored insurance solutions that offer optimal protection and value. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Intact insurance products, services, and underwriting guidelines.
- Proactively identify and cultivate new client relationships through various prospecting methods.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand clients' current insurance coverage and future requirements.
- Present, explain, and sell appropriate insurance policies (auto, home, commercial, etc.) to meet client needs.
- Prepare accurate quotes, process applications, and handle policy renewals and endorsements.
- Educate clients on policy terms, conditions, coverage limits, and claims procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and building lasting client trust.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry trends and product knowledge.
Required Skills
- Valid Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License in Indiana, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance sales or a client-facing financial services role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to build rapport quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with Intact Financial Corporation products or systems.
- Existing network within the Merrillville, Indiana community.
- Additional insurance designations (e.g., CISR, AINS).
