Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular field visits to designated areas for data collection, including market prices, farmer needs, and product feedback.
  • Assist in the registration and onboarding processes for new farmers and vendors onto the Twiga Foods platform.
  • Distribute informational materials, product samples, and other relevant resources to field stakeholders.
  • Support the successful implementation of various field activities, community outreach programs, and special projects.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with farmers, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all field activities and data collected using digital tools.
  • Report challenges, opportunities, and emerging trends observed in the field to relevant departments.
  • Adhere strictly to all operational guidelines, safety protocols, and company policies during field work.
  • Provide basic training and guidance to farmers/vendors on using Twiga Foods applications and services.
  • Represent Twiga Foods professionally and positively in all interactions within the community.

Required Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity, diligence, and accountability.
  • Physical fitness and a willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to use a smartphone for data collection and communication (training will be provided).
  • Fluency in English and Swahili is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or an equivalent academic qualification.
  • Basic understanding or interest in local agricultural practices or market dynamics.
  • Previous experience interacting with diverse communities or in community-based initiatives.
  • Familiarity with local geography and cultural nuances in Nairobi and surrounding areas.
