Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of pipeline facilities, including valves, pumps, compressors, and associated equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, including lubrication, filter changes, and equipment calibration, according to established schedules.
- Utilize various diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify and troubleshoot operational issues and potential mechanical failures.
- Respond promptly to operational alarms, emergencies, and system malfunctions, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Document all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and operational data accurately and thoroughly using designated systems.
- Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and operational staff to optimize pipeline performance and resolve complex issues.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance technical skills and stay current with industry best practices and technological advancements.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Conduct ground patrols and surveillance of pipeline rights-of-way to identify and report any potential encroachment or integrity concerns.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pipeline, oil and gas, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with industrial equipment maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and operational manuals.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Excellent understanding of safety protocols, including confined space entry, hot work, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and report generation.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in a relevant field (e.g., Industrial Maintenance, HVAC, Diesel Mechanics).
- Experience with SCADA systems and pipeline control operations.
- Certifications in welding, heavy equipment operation, or specialized industrial maintenance.
- Knowledge of NACE corrosion principles and prevention.
- Previous experience working with high-pressure systems and hazardous materials.
