Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional service.
 - Actively assist customers in locating products and making informed purchasing decisions.
 - Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems.
 - Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Canadian Tire products, services, and promotions.
 - Ensure shelves are well-stocked, organized, and merchandised according to company standards.
 - Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and process returns/exchanges gracefully.
 - Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments and conducting stock counts.
 - Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.
 - Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve sales targets and operational goals.
 
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
 - Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
 - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
 - Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
 - Capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
 - Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
 - A positive attitude and a passion for helping others.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail sales or customer service role (6+ months).
 - Familiarity with Canadian Tire product categories (e.g., automotive, hardware, sports).
 - Experience operating a point-of-sale (POS) system.
 - High school diploma or equivalent.
 - Ability to communicate in French is an asset.
