Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, meticulous review, and timely submission of grant proposals and applications, ensuring utmost accuracy and strict compliance with donor guidelines and internal protocols.
- Support the comprehensive monitoring and systematic tracking of grant expenditures, adherence to project timelines, and achievement of performance metrics.
- Conduct initial compliance checks on all grant agreements and contracts, ensuring stringent adherence to GIZ's internal policies, financial regulations, and donor-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date grant records and comprehensive documentation within our established grant management systems and databases.
- Liaise effectively with internal project teams, technical advisors, and external partners to gather all necessary information for robust grant reporting, internal audits, and external evaluations.
- Support the drafting, editing, and thorough review of interim and final grant reports, ensuring timely delivery and consistently high-quality submissions that meet all stipulated criteria.
- Participate actively in internal team meetings, capacity-building workshops, and training sessions to deepen understanding of grant administration best practices and GIZ's operational procedures.
- Contribute proactively to the continuous improvement and optimization of grant management processes, tools, and templates.
- Provide essential administrative support to the Grants team as needed, including efficient scheduling, professional correspondence, and diligent document management.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1 level or equivalent) for professional correspondence and report writing.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, crucial for managing complex documentation and data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity for critical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritize work efficiently, and meet strict deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
