Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis of corporate and commercial borrowers, including review of financial statements, cash flow projections, and business plans.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit memorandums and reports outlining credit risks, mitigants, and recommendations.
  • Assess industry trends, market conditions, and macroeconomic factors impacting credit portfolios.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers to understand client needs and structure appropriate credit facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and risk appetite statements.
  • Present credit recommendations to senior management and credit committees.
  • Monitor existing credit portfolios for early warning signs of deterioration and conduct ongoing risk assessments.
  • Participate in client meetings and due diligence processes as required.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit analysis processes and tools.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Credit Analyst in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, analysis, and valuation techniques.
  • Proficiency in interpreting complex financial statements and assessing credit risk.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
