Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of corporate and commercial borrowers, including review of financial statements, cash flow projections, and business plans.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memorandums and reports outlining credit risks, mitigants, and recommendations.
- Assess industry trends, market conditions, and macroeconomic factors impacting credit portfolios.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to understand client needs and structure appropriate credit facilities.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and risk appetite statements.
- Present credit recommendations to senior management and credit committees.
- Monitor existing credit portfolios for early warning signs of deterioration and conduct ongoing risk assessments.
- Participate in client meetings and due diligence processes as required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit analysis processes and tools.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Credit Analyst in a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, analysis, and valuation techniques.
- Proficiency in interpreting complex financial statements and assessing credit risk.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
