Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage Orange Botswana's comprehensive social media strategy across all relevant platforms (Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
- Create, curate, and manage engaging written, visual, and video content that aligns with brand guidelines, marketing objectives, and local cultural nuances.
- Monitor social media channels for customer inquiries, comments, and mentions, responding in a timely, professional, and 'social' manner while cultivating leads.
- Analyze social media performance metrics, generate detailed reports, and use data-driven insights to continuously optimize future campaigns and content strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, industry trends, emerging platforms, tools, and technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (marketing, customer service, product development, PR) to ensure brand consistency and integrated campaign execution.
- Plan and execute social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, precise audience targeting, A/B testing, and performance tracking.
- Identify and engage with social media influencers, brand ambassadors, and partners to amplify brand messaging and reach new audiences.
- Develop and implement robust social media crisis management protocols and strategies to protect brand reputation.
- Oversee community management, fostering a positive and interactive online environment for Orange Botswana's followers.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) as a Social Media Manager or similar digital marketing role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful campaigns.
- Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with major social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and their respective analytics tools.
- Solid understanding of social media KPIs, web traffic metrics, SEO principles, and digital advertising best practices.
- Proficiency in social media management and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms.
- Exceptional copywriting, editing, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and brand voice.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines effectively in a remote work environment.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for graphic design and basic video editing.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
