Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Electrical Technician to join our team in Downtown, Alpharetta. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our electrical systems and infrastructure, supporting our commitment to operational excellence and safety. The Electrical Technician will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, from routine preventative maintenance and scheduled checks to complex troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment, control systems, and industrial machinery. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
 - Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults, malfunctions, and breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
 - Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment and control systems in accordance with specifications and safety standards.
 - Conduct comprehensive inspections and evaluations of electrical components, including motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, and control panels.
 - Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
 - Ensure strict adherence to all electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
 - Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
 - Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to implement electrical upgrades and process improvements.
 - Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and operational staff as needed.
 - Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a strong safety culture within the workplace.
 
Required Skills
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
 - Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, motor control, and PLC logic.
 - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
 - Extensive knowledge of national and local electrical codes (e.g., NEC).
 - Experience with various test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and megohmmeters.
 - Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
 - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
 - Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
 - Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
 - Experience with high-voltage systems (e.g., up to 480V or higher).
 - Familiarity with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial network protocols.
 - Previous experience in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or mining environment.
 - Certification in specific electrical control systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
