Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and tools for alerts, anomalies, and potential security incidents.
 - Perform in-depth analysis of security events to determine root cause and scope of impact.
 - Lead incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
 - Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
 - Implement, configure, and manage security solutions such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
 - Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation in alignment with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
 - Provide expert guidance and recommendations on security architecture and design for new projects and existing systems.
 - Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, technologies, and regulations.
 - Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate security into the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) and operational processes.
 - Participate in security awareness training initiatives for employees.
 - Report on security metrics, incidents, and posture to management.
 
Required Skills
- Proficiency with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel).
 - Demonstrated experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender ATP).
 - Strong understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and web application firewalls.
 - Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools and processes (e.g., Tenable.io, Qualys).
 - In-depth knowledge of common attack vectors and mitigation strategies.
 - Familiarity with industry security standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
 - Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and analysis.
 - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
 - Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
 - Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GSEC.
 - Experience with cloud security platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
 - Knowledge of digital forensics and reverse engineering techniques.
 - Prior experience in the telecommunications or critical infrastructure sector.
 - Experience with threat intelligence platforms and frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK).
